Clomid to help w/late ovulation.. any success stories????!?!?

OK so today my dr said that it doesn't look like i have pcos, i have 2 almost mature follicles on my left ovary.. i should be ovulating on CD17 (in about 2 days) soo.. he thinks the reason i haven't gotten preggo might be b/c they aren't mature enough OR b/c i'm ovulating later in my cycle.. so he is going to put me on clomid next cycle.. Has anyone had success w/clomid for this reason (late ovulation)?? we've been ttc for over 2 yrs so i just want to read about some success stories so i can get excited again, I hope we have finally figured out "the mystery" thanks all!
