A query about the holy angels and their dealings with humans?

There are hierarchies of angels, Michael for example, in every appearance he has, he is mopping fighting or waging a battle. Michael is a Cherub the highest ranking cl of all angels’ clification. He is a warrior he fights gods wars with Satan and the demons. There is another Cherub, Gabriel, if you notice when he appears it is usually to deliver a message. With that being said, you could say that there is a war being waged between heaven and hell, all wars need commander’s lieutenants and foot soldiers. Where in this case, God is the commander, Michael, for lack of a better term is the lieutenant that leads the foot soldiers. Angels can be very harsh, but I believe only to the non believer.
