Where does Otriad come from?

It's Russian, отряд. It breaks down as "ot-" – prefix roughly corresponding to "off", which can mean dividing something or setting something apart – and "-ryad-", the root that literally means "row" (things put in a line) and is the basis of many words referring to order, arrangement, etc.
