Webbie hd camcorder used with tripod?

ok well i have a camera that sucks....with a tripod.... im planning on getting a new camera which is a webbie hd camcorder.... my tripod with my old camera has like a screw on it so i used to have to screw it on the tripod...are all camcorders like that or would i have to buy a new tripod with the camcorder
