Suspended from work...such a stupid reason?

I wiped a table off at chipotle with a broom, and then sanitized it after.. Some customers complained I wiped a table off with a broom and DIDN'T sanitize it.. even though i did.. I've worked here for 2 weeks, and got suspended until further notice. I understand, but like... really?
