My guinea pigs are scared, they hate being picked up, and dont move around their cage?

Imagine a giant hand coming out of the sky to scoop you up. Wouldn't you run, too? It will take some time before your new pets realize "the hand" isn't going to harm them. As others have said, they will also need some time to get used to their new surroundings. Gentle daily handling will get them more comfortable. It may take a bit of time, so please be patient.
